This is gonna be a dual wheel mount bike rack. The one thing unique about it is its one touch piston that allows you to open these wheel mounts up and then they ratchet back down. more

Yakima FullTilt 5 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi, Matt here with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Yakima FullTilt Bike Rack on the back of the 2022 Dodge Durango. One of the main features that sets this hanging style bike rack from the other ones is it has the potential to carry five bikes at one time, each at 40 pounds and a maximum of 150 pounds. And since it makes contact with the bike rack, it's not gonna be compatible with carbon frame bike racks or alternative frame bike racks. And since its weight capacity is only 40 pounds, it will not be compatible with e-bikes either. Now if you do have an alternative style bike or a child's bike, we do have these adapter bars that make them compatible with the hanging frames. You do have these adjustable clips that keep your bikes in place. more

Hollywood Racks Destination 4 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi Matt here with the etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Hollywood Racks Destination 4 on the back of the 2022 Dodge Durango. This rack is capable of holding four bikes, 35 pounds each, has three straps, one on each tire and one on the frame. This is gonna prevent it from being carbon frame friendly, and it's not gonna be E-bike friendly either. Something we did notice about this bike rack is when we had our bike in this first spot here, the handle bars actually made contact with the back of the windshield, just barely, so we decided to move it on to this second rack here. And this is about a 29 inch handlebar length, so if you do have any bikes that are 29 and longer, I'd keep 'em on the third, the second rack and up. Now if you have any ones that have shorter lengths, I'd say they would fit here. more

Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi Matt here with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Kuat NV Base on the back of the 2022 Dodge Durango. Since our Kuat NV Base is a premium bike rack, it has the ability to tilt back. So all we'll have to do is press down on this lever and let it tilt back, kind of cradling the back end. Now we'll have access to our back hatch. Now keep in mind that we do have 29" handlebars, and that barely makes clearance. So if you have anything wider, I'd definitely put that on the other rack back here. more

Hollywood Racks Destination 2 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi, Matt here with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Hollywood Racks Destination 2 on the 2022 Dodge Durango. This is a platform-style bike rack capable of holding two bikes, 35 pounds each, has three points of contact, one on each tire, and one in the center on the frame. What this means, is it's not gonna be e-bike friendly, because it won't be able to hold that much weight, or it won't be carbon frame friendly, because it's attached directly to the frame. A neat function with this bike rack as well, is gonna be this padded strap. So what's nice about this, is it rotates and adjusts up and down. So overall, that's gonna be really nice for if you have an alternative frame bike, it's gonna fit even kid bikes as well. more

Swagman Skaha 2 Bike Rack Review - 2021 Dodge Durango- Video
Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Swagman Skaha 2 on our 2021 Dodge Durango. The Skaha 2 is going to be a platform style bike rack able to hold two bikes, individually weight rated for 60 pounds each, which means that our heavier e-bikes are going to be an option for this. Our two main points of contact are gonna be first, our hook on our front wheel, and then a strap for our back wheel meaning we're not making any frame contact. So our alternative frame bikes as well as those carbon frame bikes are gonna be an option for this bike rack too. One of the nice things about the Skaha 2 is it does offer a tilt away function. more

Our bike rack here is going to be a platform style bike rack, being able to hold up to two bikes for us each. Individually, those bikes can be up to 66 pounds so those heavier e-bikes are gonna be an option for this bike rack. Do keep in mind though, if you put this on an RV or take it offroading, your weight capacity is going to drop down to 40 pounds per bike. So really, just make sure you understand what kind of conditions you're going to be using this bike rack in. more

Now the Curt Premium, like I said, is a hanging style bike rack that is going to be weight rated for 180 pounds. So you can divide that up however you would like amongst different bikes. Because we are holding onto them by their frame, that means our carbon frame bikes unfortunately are not gonna be a great fit for this. However, because of the tapering off here at the edge, we are able to accommodate some kids' bikes. more

This is a great bike rack to use to transport your bikes of up to 45 pounds each bike. We have a frame mount that is going to make your loading a lot easier and secure. That being said, if you have a carbon frame style bike, this might not be the rack for you. It's gonna be made out of a steel construction, so it's gonna be very durable and last you a long time, it's also finished with a black powder coat, making it rust resistant. One of the cool features about this rack is the tilt-away feature, there is a lever back here that you pull and gently lower down, and that way, we can access our hatch, grab our helmets and our waters, whatever we need for our bike ride. more

This bike rack is going to be meant for your larger mountain bikes like we have here and those downhill bikes. It's going to hold it by the fork at the top and by the tire here at the bottom. So our bracket here on the top is going to hold between our forks. So with this triangular design it's going to force itself up between the two forks, keeping that front wheel from moving side to side. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Dodge Durango- Video
Today on our 2017 Dodge Durango we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Rack, part number: S64683. Now we're all been in that situation where we just got done riding our bikes, or going ready to ride our bikes, and we need to get in the back of our hatch. That's the one feature I really like about this bike rack is if we come to this lever right here, we can lift up and our bike rack will actually tilt away from our vehicle, and then we can have full access to get anything in or out of our rear hatch that we may need. And then when we're done we can simply close our hatch and then rotate the bike rack back up, and it'll lock into position. We're gonna have three points of contact. We're gonna have a frame hook up top here, and then one strap on each one of our wheels. Now the way the straps are gonna come undone, if we come to the back side there's gonna be a lever, you can push on it and that's gonna release the ratcheting mechanism, and then you just pull the strap out. more

Today on our 2014 Dodge Avenger, we're going to be test fitting the thule vertex. A titling four-bike rack for inch and a quarter and 2 inch hitches, part number TH9029. To begin our test fit, well slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. Well line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolts, and tighten it down with a wrench. We can then secure it with the provided clip. In this position, well have about 8 and a quarter inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 2 and a half inches away, and over all weve add about 9 inches to the length of the Avenger. As you can see with our mast in the upright position, we do have access to our trunk. more

In this position, we'll have about 8-1/4 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about five inches away, and overall, we've added about 12 inches to the length of the car. Pulling the gold pin at the base of the mast will allow us to tilt it away from our Avenger. more

Saris Axis 3 Bike Rack Review - 2014 Dodge Avenger- Video
Today, on our 2014 Dodge Avenger, we're going to be test-fitting the Saris Axis, a tilting three-bike rack for inch-and-a-quarter and two inch hitches, part number SA843D. To begin our test-fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and tighten it down with a wrench. We can then secure this using the provided lock. In this position, we'll have about eight and three quarters of an inch worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of or vehicle is about two and a quarter inches away, and overall we're adding about 11 inches in length to the Avenger. As you can see with the mast in its upright position, we do have access into the trunk. However, if we need more room, we'll simply pull the yellow T handle at the base of the rack, tilt the mast away from out vehicle, and as you can see, it gives us all the room we need. We our mast back in its upright position, it's time to extend their dual cradle arms. We'll lift the two yellow levers located on our arms, slide them towards the center mast, rotate them into position, slide them back out, and hold them in place by reengaging out levers. When we set our arms, we'll be sure to set them level or slightly inclined. It's now time to load our bike, so undo our cradle straps, and grab our bike. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Dodge Avenger, were going to be test fitting the Thule Apex, a tilting 4 bike rack for 1-1/4 and 2 inch hitches, part number TH9025. To begin our test fit, well slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. Well pull out on the attached pin located on the right side. Line up our pin holes, and allow the attached pin to go into our pin hole. We can now turn the black knob. Today on our 2014 Dodge Avenger, we're going to be test fitting the Swagman Titan, a tilting 4-bike rack for 1-1/4-inch and 2-inch hitches, part number S63410. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and then, we can tighten it down with our wrench. To secure it, we'll use the provided pin. In this position, you'll have about 11-1/4 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to our vehicle is about 6 inches away, and overall, we've added about 16 inches to the length of the Avenger. With our mast in its upright position, you do have access to the trunk. However, if you need more space, we can simply pull up on the black lever located at the base of the rack. The mast will swing away from our vehicle, giving us great access. With our mast back in its upright position, we'll pull the black lever located at the top of the mast. This will allow us to swing out our dual cradle arms. more

To begin our test fit, well slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. Well then line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down with a wrench, then secure it with the provided lock. In this position, we have about 11-1/2 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 7 inches away. Overall, weve added about 21 inches in length to the Avenger. Pulling the two black pins on the outside on the rear of the rack will allow us to tilt down our wheel cradles. more

Pro Series Q-Slot Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2014 Dodge Avenger- Video
Today, on our 2014 Dodge Avenger, we're going to be test-fitting the Pro Series Q-Slot, a platform-style tilting two-bike rack for 1 1/4" and 2" edges, part number PS63134. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and tighten it with a wrench. We can then secure it with the provided clip. In this position, we'll have about 10 3/4" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our Avenger is about 7" away, and overall, we've added about 22" in length to the car. Pulling the two silver pins on the outside of the rack will allow us to tilt down the wheel cradles. We'll reinsert the pins to secure them in place. Pulling the center silver pin will allow us to tilt our center mast away from our vehicle. As you can see, it gives us great access into the trunk. With our mast back in its upright position, let's take a couple more measurements. more

Kuat Beta Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2014 Dodge Avenger- Video
Today, on our 2014 Dodge Avenger, we're going to be test fitting the Kuat Beta, a full-length 2-bike rack for 1-1/4 inch hitches, part number B202-114. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll line up our pinholes, slide through the pin, and secure it with the provided lock. We'll then turn the black T handle on the rear of the rack. This will engage our anti-rattle device and further secure our rack to our vehicle. With our rack secure, we'll take a couple measurements. As you can see, we'll have about 9 inches of ground clearance with the rack. more

In this position, we'll have about 9 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about an inch away. Overall we've added about 5 and a half inches to the length of the Avenger. Pulling the larger black pin at the base of the mast will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle. more

Today on our 2014 Dodge Journey, well be test fitting the Softride Dura Parallelogram Tilting 4 Bike Rack, part number SR26247. Well begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. After lining up our pin holes, well thread our anti-rattle bolt through the pin holes and then tighten it down using a wrench. The bike rack secure, well go over a few clearance measurements to see how the 2 fit together. We have about 12 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 4 inches away and weve added about 34 inches to the overall length of our vehicle. One great feature of this bike rack is that you have the ability to remove the arms. You can do this by sliding over the black tab on the backside of the upper part of the mast and simply pull the arm out. more
